A Nightmare on Elm Street in 2010 is an American slasher film written by Wesley Strick and Eric Heisserer, directed by Samuel Bayer, and produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller. It’s a remake of Wes Craven’s 1984 slasher film from the identical title which is designed to get the franchise going again. The movie stars Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger, the role made famous by Robert Englund, at the same time Rooney Mara has the part of Nancy Thompson, formerly played by Heather Langenkamp. The remake is anticpated to be released on April 30, 2010.
Inside a small town, a couple of FBI agents have got to hunt down a child rapist who makes use of a knifed glove to mutilate and kill his victims. All the teens in town can not go to sleep or they will be killed within their dreams.
Cast includes: Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger, Rooney Mara as Nancy Thompson, Kyle Gallner as Quentin, Thomas Dekker as Jesse, Kellan Lutz as Dean, Katie Cassidy as Kris, Clancy Brown as Allan, and Connie Britton as Nancy’s Mom Marge Thompson.
