Gold Secret Number 1 – Skinning
Skinning is a profession that can be lucrative for not only high level players, but also for beginners in World of Warcraft. Almost every zone has a heap of mobs just waiting to be skinned.
Many trade skill materials such as Leather, Hides, and Scales can be produced through Skinning. These are core materials that are in demand on every server for both factions.
Gold Secret Number 2 – Alchemy
Compared to the other trade skills (Leatherworking, Tailoring, Blacksmithing and Engineering), Alchemy is the most consistently lucrative. While Engineering, Leatherworking, Tailoring, and Blacksmithing can make some valuable items, these professions are generally not as sustainable as Alchemy is.
The main reason why Alchemy is far more lucrative than the other trades mentioned above comes down to the necessity of potions, being able to heal damage, bring back mana, and raise ability scores. High tech armor and weapons are extremely useful but most players who have these will still require potions etc.
Gold Secret Number 3 – Cooking
You’ll be able to make some quick money through cooking high grade foods. Especially foods that players use to buff themselves.
Cooking also has a unique advantage over other professions in that the foods produced when cooking are always eaten. This means there is always demand for more of that product.
Gold Secret Number 4 – Limited Supply Items
Through buying and selling limited supply items (typical examples are rare recipes) in the Auction House, you will be able to get high profit returns in a very short time.
By using this method to earn gold, you can make massive profits. It’s not uncommon for me to make over 600% profit on some rare items!
