Being touted as one of the best movies of the year so far, Inception hit all expectations and brought home $60.4 million over the weekend.
Not fairing so well was the new Nicolas Cage movie, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”. It came in at third place with just $17.4 million.
“Despicable Me” hit second place this weekend with $32.7 million.
“The Twilight Saga:Eclipse” came in at fourth place with a $13.5 million showing
And “Toy Story 3” rounded out the top five bringing in $11.7 million for the weekend.
