Because she can’t ever pull off romantic comedies.
Remember “Maid in Manhattan”? and “the Wedding Planner”?
Well, her latest attempt “The Backup Plan” may have actually been worse. And it is a shame that Alex O’Loughlin played her love interest. (Course, he may have been the only redeeming factor in the film, because he does look good.).
But J’Lo’s character, “Zoe” was totally unlikable. And the relationship between her and “Stan”, Alex O’Loughlin’s character, was totally unbelievable. She treated him poorly, yet the poor guy just kept pursuing her, artificially inseminated pregnancy and all.
There were also a couple of scenes that were quite vulgar and disgusting….I mean, just because you’re pregnant does not mean you lose all sense of decorum.
And apparently I was not the only one who didn’t like the movie. Check out the reviews for yourself.
The Backup Plan is not worth the time it takes to watch.
And Jennifer Lopez does not have the magic or charisma to pull off a romantic comedy….
