It was a weekend for the remakes.

Preliminary reports for the weekend box office receipts show that “The Karate Kid” starring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan topped the box office with the movie-going public for the weekend ending on June 13, 2010 with an estimated $56,000,000.
Coming in at substantially lower numbers but rating at number 2 is “The A-Team” with Bradley Cooper and some others (as an adult female all I can remember is Bradley Cooper.….especially with that fit body he got for “the A-Team”!)
The A-Team receipts were estimated at $26,000,000.
And wrapping up the top three is one that will become a perennial family favorite, especially when the video comes out…gotta have ‘em all!
“Shrek Forever” at $15,800,000.
“Get Him to the Greek” and “Killers” topped out at #4 and #5 respectively.
