valentine's
In a case of perfect timing, the “all-star” movie –as in how many overly famous actors can one film take—“Valentine’s Day” ruled at the box office over Valentine’s weekend taking in $52.4 million. The movie was critically panned but that didn’t stop viewers from partaking of the over-the-top star-studded attraction. The list of notable actors include Julia Roberts and her niece Emma Roberts, Patrick Dempsey, Ashton Kutcher, Kathy Bates, Shirley Maclaine, Hector Elizondo, Eric Dane, Bradley Cooper, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Anne Hathaway, Queen Latifah, George Lopez, also starring both Jessica’s—Jessica Alba and Jessica Biel, and both Taylor’s—Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift – all well-known names, not an unknown actor among the cast!

It was a good weekend for movies as “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief” came in at second place with $31.1 million and “The Wolfman” starring Benicio Del Toro brought in $30.6 million and third place.

And still doing well and holding its own, “Avatar” rounded out the top four with a consistently good take of $22 million.
