The total Indian film industry includes several regional film industries sorted by language. Bollywood is the largest film producer in Hindi movies and in India and it is also one of the largest film producers in the world. It’s hard to think of a sadder commentary about Hollywood’s sequel fetish than the presence of Rush Hour 3. Dull, uninspired, and redundant, this third pointless movie within an action/comedy franchise that defines mediocrity doesn’t even try to disguise the fact that its existence is really a money-grab. I wasn’t a fan of either previous Rush Hour film, but neither felt as tired and obligatory as this one. Aside from some amusing scenes with Chris Tucker and a nice déjà vu dance routine to “War” performed by Tucker and Jackie Chan, this movie offers nothing that wasn’t done better in the other outings featuring these mismatched buddy cops.

The wafer-thin plot has Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) protecting a Chinese diplomat during his remain in Los angeles. He has top-secret information about the Triad crime syndicate but, before he can divulge it, he’s shot. Lee, reunited together with his former partner, Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker), vows towards the consul’s daughter, Soo Yung (Zhang Jingchu), he will find the person who attacked her father. To get this done, Lee and Carter must pursue Triad assassin Kenji (Hiroyuki Sanada) to Paris, where they are aided by an anti-American cab driver named George (Yvan Attal), who discovers that he’s a taste for car chases and gunplay.

As was the case with Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2, this movie combines hit-and-miss comedy with lackluster action. The film does not have much of a pulse, and also the “excitement” results in as pallid in comparison with last week’s The Bourne Ultimatum (although at least your camera isn’t afflicted with the shakes). This movie is probably forget about amusing than its predecessors, although it’s hard to be sure. Nothing most of the Rush Hour products has been roll-on-the-floor funny, and this one is no different. Especially lame is a riff on “Who’s on First” that proves the heavens of the movie have nothing on Abbot and Costello. Additionally, there is a parody of emotional moments in buddy movies featuring Elton John’s “Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word.” Maybe that’s said to be an apology to the audience by Brett Ratner. Also think about a scene featuring a lot of raw sewage that may on some level be a comment about in which the franchise is headed.

On of the numerous areas in which the movie disappoints (although, with that said, it isn’t unexpected), it’s in the possible lack of physicality displayed by Jackie Chan. At age 53, he can no longer perform the kinds of stunts that made him an international star. Putting life and limb at risk in the line of duty are things for younger men. The majority of Chan’s most daring work has been forwarded to stunt-men there are hints of CGI (while not to the point where it’s distracting). The end-credit outtakes, that are typically a horror show of Chan’s muffed stunts, are limited here to verbal bloopers, messed-up lines, and the occasional minor pratfall. Chan’s gift for comedy looks like muted as his fighting techinques derring-do. At no time during Rush Hour 3 is he especially funny. My assumption has been that as Chan aged, he would gravitate more toward comedy, but this is not an excellent start.

Chris Tucker picks up a nice paycheck but no slack. However, while it’s a stretch to call him up “likable,” a minimum of he’s not as irritating as he is at Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2. Both Chan and Tucker are outmaneuvered within the comedy department by Yvan Attal, whose character’s love/hate relationship with American culture results in a few of the film’s wittiest (and i use that word loosely) scenes. Max von Sydow, in “concealed bad guy” mode, is on hand to do what he is doing best with that glorious bass voice. (Now that Bergman is officially in his grave, he can start.) And Roman Polanksi has a cameo like a French policeman who anally rapes Lee and Carter. (Yes, you read that correctly. A PG-13 movie features anal rape – although, of course, it’s only implied and is used to get a laugh.) Why Polanski would agree to play this part is anyone’s guess; it isn’t the type of thing that will help his less-than-sterling reputation. I kept waiting for Jean Reno to exhibit up, since he always seems on hand in these English-speaking films occur France.

Does Rush Hour 3 deliver what audiences expect of it? Only its most devoted fans will say “yes.” The formula is in place however the performers are dealing with the motions. It’s a stale version from the previous movies, and they weren’t all that great to begin with. One could reason that director Brett Ratner at least invested Rush Hour with a few energy. Even throughout the climactic battle in the Eiffel Tower, there is nothing resembling that here. This really is yet another disposable summer movie – so lackluster that it isn’t even worth searching out when it plays on television. The Rush Hour experience, which never attained anything resembling full speed, has come to a crashing halt.

Okay, X-Men: The last Stand, has caused quite the stir among comic enthusiasts and the average moviegoer. While many rabid X-Men comic readers found some dislike in the film, somebody that is simply out searching for a good way to spend 2 hours can find some serious entertainment value with this trilogy-ending film.

X-Men: The last Stand accumulates wherever the final film left off. Jean Gray, played by Famke Janssen, is dead carrying out a confrontation in a remote military base. This leaves Cyclops, played by James Marsden, distraught and unsure if he can continue leading the team of mutants.

Towards the delight of many fans, Wolverine has returned, with Hugh Jackman delivering a performance well worth the series he helped form. Also returning are Patrick Stewart as Professor X and Ian McKellen as the anti-hero Magneto. A new comer to the films would be the heroes Angel and also the Beast. These characters help to give a dynamic to the X-men, with Kelsey Grammar delivering a stellar performance as the Beast.

The main conflict through the film is the introduction of a brand new drug that ‘cures’ mutants, causing these phones lose all of their unique abilities and allowing them to be completely human. While this is a breath of fresh air for many mutants, like the young Rogue who desires every single child touch others, other mutants that are led by Magneto believe there is no need for a cure, and they, in fact, are the cure for humanity.

This ignites a war over the philosophy of whether the drug should be a choice for mutants. It is a rather deep underlying theme for any film that you would expect less from. Action-packed, the film weighs in at under 2 hours, which can be among its few short-comings.

There’s barely any slow parts to the film, and you are instead barraged by scene-after-scene of high intensity. There’s a lot happening in this film; the filmmakers could’ve easily stretched it right into a 3 hour epic. A standout performance is offered by McKellan, since through his acting you are able to truly begin to see the struggle how the villain faces, showing that Magneto’s ideals truly will have some consideration underneath them. While the movie isn’t perfect, its as close to perfect as possible hope for from a series that only appears to improve each and every film.

A funny movie about being the underdog is “Dodgeball, A True Underdog Story”. A silly and humorous movie about how an owner of a gym called Average Joe’s gym and how he and his friends must win a dodgeball tournament in order to save the gym from being taken over by Globo Gym, a franchise.

Great horror movies often get remade over and over again. “House on Haunted Hill” first came out in 1959 and then again in 1999, 40 years later. In the movie a millionaire and his wife offer 5 guests the chance to earn some money, ironically with inflation it was only $10,000 in 1959 and a cool $1,000,000 in 1999, if they can stay the entire night in a haunted house.

In the 1959 version the millionaire was played by Vincent Price. Other players included Carol Ohmart, Richard Long, Alan Marshal, Carolyn Craig and Elisha Cook. The characters changed names, occupations and characteristics in the 1999 version but the storyline remained the same. Geoffrey Rush played the millionaire, along with Famke Jannsen as his wife. The guests included Taye Diggs, Peter Gallagher, Chris Kattan, Ali Larter and Bridgette Wilson.

Throughout history the most infamous vampire has always been Dracula. The first Dracula movie, starring Bela Lugosi as Dracula, was released in 1931. In 1992, Gary Oldman played Dracula and Wynona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins and Keanu Reeves were also cast in the movie.

Many adaptations of Dracula have been made throughout the years and though there are some differences the main story remains the same, a vampire inflicts fear on the residents of Transylvania. Bram Stoker wrote the original novel back in 1897.

Another movie to check out is “The Prince of Darkness” from 1987. An abandoned church in Los Angeles holds a long-lost and forgotten canister that is filled with pure evil. The devil himself could be unleashed and it could destroy civilization, as we know it. The Pastor of the church and some students must stop the destruction.

The Pastor is played by Donald Pleasence, also starring Jameson Parker, Victor Wong, Lisa Blount and rock-star Alice Cooper plays a street schizo. John Carpenter directed this horror movie.

In 1987, Dudley Moore and Kirk Cameron played father and son who switched places in the movie “Like Father, Like Son”. The father accidentally sprinkles a magical Indian potion into his bloody Mary and instantly he and his have switched up identities. In a similar plot the movie “Freaky Friday” from 2003 has Jamie Lee Curtis playing a mother who trades places with Lindsay Lohan who plays her 15 years old daughter. The mom wants more support for her upcoming marriage to her fiancé and the daughter wants her mom to support her musical aspirations with her rock band.

A Chinese restaurant and a magical fortune cookie on Thursday evening bring about a Friday to remember. But the wedding is on Saturday. Will they be switched back in time? Starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan and Mark Harmon.

And next a movie about someone pretending to have a different identity, “Mrs. Doubtfire” is about a free spirited husband and father who gets a divorce after fourteen years. He cannot bear the thought of being away from his children so he dresses up as a British nanny and his ex-wife hires him.

Robin Williams stars as the dad and of course, Mrs. Doubtfire, Sally Fields is the mom and Lisa Jakob, Matthew Lawrence and Mara Wilson play the children. Mrs. Doubtfire is a wonderful family movie from 1993 that should not be missed.
