Because of cross-faction trading, cooking recipes have always been a good source of gold on WoW. But ever since achievements came out, a lot of players have been wanting to buy the cooking recipes, and because some of these recipes are hard to find, they tend to go to the auction house to buy it.

The most efficient way to profit from cooking recipes is to set up what Jonathan Kenins calls a gold-making “pipeline” in his top-rated video gold guide for WoW – the Massive Gold Blueprint.

How do you set up a profitable pipeline? The best way is to buy cheap recipes from vendors on the alliance side, and sell them to players on the horde side for a huge gold profit. Or vice versa… buy your recipes cheap from horde vendors, and sell for massive gold in the alliance auction house.

The best recipes to start with, are the recipes that are exclusive only to either the alliance or the horde.

All you have to do is buy from one side, the horde side for example, and sell it on the alliance side. In order to do this, you will need to get two accounts, or a trading partner, because the auction house won’t let players trade between characters on the same account.

The first thing you must do is check for the items on both Alliance and Horde sides. See if they’re up for sale in the auction house. If they aren’t listed in AH, then there’s a good chance for you to set up your own pipeline, as you will have no competition.

However, if you see the recipes that you have your eye on, up for sale in the auction house, check the prices and decide if it will be worth the time and effort to buy and sell this particular item. If a large profit is possible (20 gold or more) then go shopping with a bunch of empty bags and buy as much of each recipe as you can carry.

There are many weapons and gear to collect and some things you can buy, but lots of things you can find along the way. The main quest is available at all times and there are many side quests. The menu helps you keep track of all the different quests you are currently working on and lets you know when you have completed a quest. The main story isn’t as compelling as I would have hoped in such a big budget, high profile game, but it is serviceable and passable. Some people wont want to sink fifty hours into a game that has such a bare bones story, I found that part disappointing.
