The Book of Eli is a post-apocalyptic tale, where a lone warrior fights his way across a desolate wasteland of near-future America in order to protect a sacred book that holds the secrets to saving mankind. I can’t wait for this film to come! hits theaters tomorrow January 15, 2010.
If you are a big Denzel Washington fan you will like this one. It has had some good reviews, but we will have to wait to see how it does on it’s opening weekend which is tomorrow.

The cast includes Denzel Washington as Eli, Keith Tocco, Gary Oldman as Carnegie, a corrupted mayor who wants to take possession of the sacred book. Mila Kunis as Solara, Ray Stevenson as Redridge, an enforcer dispatched to kill Eli. Jennifer Beals as Claudia, the blind mother of Solara and the concubine of Carnegie. Michael Gambon as George, Evan Jones, Malcolm McDowell as Lombardi, and Frances de la Tour as Martha.

Book of Eli gave Avatar a pretty good run for its money for the first time in the last five weeks but was not able to take it out. However, the post Apocalyptic show earned a solid $38 million for the holiday weekend.
