The Expendables can be described as a punishing action film about a band of mercenaries chosen to infiltrate a South American country to overthrow their ruthless dictator. When the quest starts, the guys recognize things are not quite as they appear, getting caught inside a serious web of deceit and betrayal. Because of their mission being beaten down as well as an life at risk, the men have trouible with an even more complicated problem one which threatens to be able to ruin this particular band of brothers.
