In what is being called “the biggest role for an actress in the last five or six years”, Director David Fincher is narrowing down the list for the role of Lisbeth Salander in “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”, a movie based upon the mega-successful millennium trilogy by the late author Stieg Larsson.
Apparently such big names as Ellen Page, Carrie Mulligan and Natalie Portman are no longer a possibility to play the “petite, pixie haired” (sounds like Mulligan to me) hacker.
Four relatively unknown actresses are still up for the part, Sophie Lowe, Lea Seydoux (both wild haired blondes), an American actress named Rooney Mara, and a South African Rapper with a mean look, Yo-Landi Vi$$er (yep, that is the spelling, move over Ke$ha, someone is sharing that dollar sign!)

In the other lead, Daniel Craig has been cast as journalist Mikael Blomvist.
