Set inside 1891, Gwen writes to Lawrence to inform him that his brother, Ben, has vanished. Lawrence, wich is a well-known Shakespearean acting professional, is visiting London and races back for the family’s house in Blackmoor. As soon as Lawrence arrives, Talbot is in disrepair. John informs him that Ben’s mauled body was found just the day prior to him arriving.
Lawrence heads to town to view the body, that’s kept in the nearby slaughterhouse. Afterwards, town tavern, Lawrence hears that a lot of people blame a band of gypsies that are staying outside of the town. Yet another boasts that a number of years earlier an identical murder happened which his father suspected a werewolf.
